-Most orchids only need 'three ice cubes (approx. ¼ cup) a week to stay healthy
Drench the roots until they are all covered in water (keep 5 minutes inside the water – just roots)
Drain the water (make sure water isn’t dripping from the bottom)
Discard extra water before returning the plant to the decorative container.
Option#1: Once a week water the roots (1/4 cup of water) around the leaves. Spray the leaves, not the flowers. If you need your orchids to be replace, please contact us 305-546-7175
Option#2: Most orchids only need 'three ice cubes (approx. ¼ cup) a week to stay healthy. The ice cubes should be placed on top of the media, avoiding direct contact with the leaves. If you have more than 1 orchid plant in your arrangement, "three ice cubes" a week should be placed for each plant.
The water that remains in the bottom of the decorative pot should also be emptied to prevent damage to the roots. If your orchid has 'wrinkled, flaccid leaves', it's under-watered, so increase the number of ice cubes. An orchid that has silvery-gray roots or roots that are going brown, is overwatered. Underwatering is much easier to fix than overwatering, so increase the number of ice cubes slowly. Experts recommend fertilizing your orchids 'three times per year with a slow-release orchid fertilizer in the Spring, mid-summer, and Fall.'
- Keep them away from direct sunlight to avoid color change or fading
- Temperature 65F-76F / 18C -23C
- Wipe the dust from your arrangement using a soft, dry, preferably white color cloth.
- Avoid water or chemicals
- For indoor use only. Avoid exposing your artificial blooms to direct sunlight and extreme weather conditions. To minimize dust and fading, display them under a form of shade such as a canopy, archway, or pergola. Notice that we don't recommend using our arrangements outdoors. You might use them during the events as a decorative piece.
If you've decided your artificial flowers are past their best, you'll have to dispose of them in your household waste bin.
If you're just deciding to redecorate and your artificial plants still look lively, you can always give them to a charity shop for someone else to enjoy.
